What does it take to make the Native American Indian Dog (NAID)?
Legend claims that it was two dogs acquired from Native American tribes that started the breed.
Then, multiple other wolf-like dog breeds were introduced to the gene pool. The NAIDs for our breeding stock have been carefully chosen to lean heavier in the
German Shepherd, Malamute and Belgian Tervuren breeds. There may also be Siberian Husky and Chinook in the lineage. At The Wilderness Dogs, we have emphasized the breeds that are protective and intelligent, as well as more adaptive to family living.
